I would get it. However, the first thing I would do, before mounting it, is get an eye hook or two into the top of the roof, then attach some string. I'd run the string into the house through the double-hung window, and secure it inside. With that simple addition, the house would be more secure than a natural bird's nest.
Privacy is a human emotion, based on modesty, so I wouldn't feel bad "spying" on animals. Animals just want to hide from predators, so as long as I don't try and eat them, they won't mind.... By being on a human dwelling, I would think they would be safer from predators than in a tree.
Birds don't freak me out, so that wouldn't be an issue. My only issue, which everyone else mentioned, is the suction cups, but I truly believe the eye hooks would completely prevent the house from falling.

Lol. We just saw the commercial for this before and of course my DD wanted it. Its just weird. Give the poor birdies their privacy. DD was so impressed because there was a screen to put on so we could see them and they couldn't see us. Nope, won't be buying it. They will forget about it by next week.lol

Never. I don't think it's safe enough for the birds. Suction cups rarely hold tight enough during the freezing weather especially. I would be too worried that it would fall and the birds would die.

I don't think it's right for some reason as well. Just irks me that they are selling something to make money, that could harm the birds (it falling, which it WILL fall eventually), to make a spectacle out of something in nature that deserves privacy and natural habitat (not being on a WINDOW). Gets me sick actually.
