Recommend Your "Fenced in" play yard

DD is on the go - crawling everywhere. I want to get one of those play yards where she is enclosed - kinda like a fence. I saw some on Amazon but can't bring myself to spend $30 on shipping - especially after the holidays..

Anyone have a good one they would recommend?

Re: Recommend Your "Fenced in" play yard

We have this one

gate is easy to open (for us, not for DS) and it's a good size. I like that it's made of metal since it was harder for DS to move it (now at 14 months, he can move it very easily, but still can't lift it which is good)

My only complaint is that the pieces that hold the individual gate panels are made out of plastic and since we often "scrunch" it up when it's not in use, one of the plastic pieces has already broken (after about 6 months of heavy use).

We have something like This

We actually have the 6 sided play yard plus the 2 sided gate for a total of 8 sides which is huge. I have twins though. We broke it down to a 6 side to make room for Christmas stuff. They still use it now at 14 mo. I have a second in my office. Need to coral the little buggers lol

This one

we have three of these. They are broken up into section all over our house for various child proofing now but we use to have them as a large play area. I put the crib bumpers around the edges and it was great. They are very sturdy.

Little Playzone

We got this one with one extension to make it a pentagon. Then we bought the custom mat for underneath.

Mat

Worth every penny!!!

The pieces themselves are pretty thick. It can be an octagon shape which has more stability or a rectangle which isn't as sturdy. My girls shake the heck out of it and never knocked it down. If your child is super active and climbs everything then they can knock pretty much everything down. I know some people's kids climb out too but again that's every gate depending on the kid. That's why I hate online reviews. You never know the persons individual situation and if its similar to yours.

Thanks everyone - you are all so helpful. I ended up getting the baby kids playpen from amazon. I hated to spend the $ on shipping but realized I could use my Amex points towards it. I hope DD likes it!!
