Care.com??
I am so nervous to use this site for some reason! I am already thinking ahead to next September when I will need care for my four year old and infant. I am a teacher and would need someone from 7am to about 430pm. I would also need someone to drop off and pick up my son from preschool! I think it's the driving that is making me crazy! Does anyone have positive feedback that they can tell me about!?

I don't have any experience with the site but my mother is a babysitter. Are you looking for someone to watch the kids at your home?

I got a great babysitter from the site & interviewed 2 that could have really worked well.
I pay a competitive salary & don't ask for anything other than baby sitting. I got 2 teachers who interviewed! I hired a woman who has her own business.
As for the driving, I pay for bus service.

We found our nanny on care.com. There were a lot of women and I spoke to, and we met, many until we found someone we were comfortable with. I also highly recommend paying extra to do the full background check for extra PoM.

My best friend found her nanny on care.com. They all LOVE her. She's with the baby from around 6am until 3 or 4pm four days a week.

I found my Nanny of over a year on Care.com and lover her. We interviewed a few people and she was the best. She really loves my son and will take care my child due in May.

I found mine on sittercity.com. She has been with us for over two years and we love her.
I did phone screens, then in person interviews, then checked references and did a background check on her. After she was hired, I had her come while I was home a few times to get to know her.
It is hard to leave them the first few weeks, but it gets easier as you get to know them. Now DD1 asks for the nanny whenever she isn't there and DD2 who is 7 months reaches for her as soon as she walks in!

I needed someone to get my kids on the bus and drive my little one to daycare 1-2 days a week. I found someone on care.com and I am happy so far. Good luck, I know it's not easy!
