All inclusive Aruba resorts

I personally wouldn't do an all inclusive in Aruba. They are known for their restaurants and it's safe to leave the resort. Jmo

I would def not do all inclusive in aruba. You want to stay on orjanstead which is the beach. Theres a strip of hotels and across the street a strip of restaurants. There is also the downtown area with a few good places to eat including and outdoor mall.
And one of the best steak houses ever. El.Gaucho.

I have stayed at the radisson, westin and riu.

Riu is pricey but gorgeous.
Radisson has better prices and is absolutely beautfiul. In fact ive stayed there a few times because i love it so much. Kid friendly. Clean. Well maintained. Beauriful rooms. Beautiful views. Amazing staff.
In fact when they say its one happy little island, they arent lying.

Re: All inclusive Aruba resorts

We went to the RIU for our honeymoon, I would absolutely recommend it! It's all-inclusive, but we did leave the resort to try some of Aruba's amazing restaurants. I still think the AI was worth it for breakfast, lunch and drinks. The nights that we did eat dinner there the food was great, just make sure you get your reservations in early!

Re: All inclusive Aruba resorts

We want to do an all inclusive because we are traveling with another family; kids are a bit older (ages 8-17 years old) and eat A LOT; and we (adults) are planning to drink...a lot. LOL! Those bar bills can add up.

We want the convenience of having everything paid for. We just show up to drink and eat. LOL!

Will check out RIUright now. THANKS!

My husband was checking out Divi Aruba. DIVI

Any feedback on that resort?

ETA- I just checked out RUI...and WOW!! GORGEOUS!!

Re: All inclusive Aruba resorts

The Divi looks nice enough, but it's not in the best location. I would look into the Riu and the Occidental. They are right in town in case you want to shop, try a restaurant, go check out the nightlife, etc...

Divi is too far from everything and I didn't think AI included alcohol.

We stayed at the Marriot Oceanclub which is a timeshare. With some planning, it may be great for you guys. You can buy all the alcohol you want and bring it down to the beach or pools and drink the day away Chat Icon You can do the same with food.

Re: All inclusive Aruba resorts

We stayed at the Divi on our HM in 2005 and absolutely loved it!

The sister resort next door, the Tamarjin, seemed to have more kids there.

I know people say not to go the all inclusive route in Aruba but we love the ease of paying one price and only taking out our wallet on things we want to spend money on besides food.

Re: All inclusive Aruba resorts

I would not do all inclusive in Aruba. Their restaurants are fantastic! So many to choose from and most are kid friendly, even Madame Jeannette's.

My inlaws have a timeshare so we go every year. why don't you look into using a timeshare to stay at the Marriot surf club... That is where we stay. It has a lazy river, fun slide and it is so kid friendly...

That is what I would suggest you do. My friends do not have a timeshare and they stay there when we are there. Plus you can rent a car and go to supermarkets and get food we eat breakfast and lunch in room and go out for dinners...

We've stayed there too. We went to the supermarket and got food for breakfast and lunch, along with some alcohol, so we only went out for dinner.

We just got back from the Riu Palace in Aruba and it was great. Def. kid friendly, food was really good there but you can also just walk off resort and eat somewhere else if you want.

Re: All inclusive Aruba resorts

you definitely want the high rise section! Lots more activity and walking distance to everything!

THe low rise has nothing really to see or do!

We always stay at the marriott (not an all inclusive) which is in the high rise and we love the convenience of everything in walking distance

agreed!! we spent 2 weeks in aruba for our honeymoon & first week was in the high rise section & 2nd week was in the low rise... there really isnt much to do at all by the low rises!

we stayed at the Occidental Grand Aruba (high rise - right next to the RIU) and we loved it!!! swim up bar & lots of activities to do!!

Re: All inclusive Aruba resorts

I say go with the All Inclusive and then go to dinner whenever you want if you want. Remember- the all inclusive places include drinks......nonalcohol and alcohol so that adds up......breakfast, lunch, snacks...that all adds up.
I've been to the Occidental grand numerous times and LOVED it- its right next to the Riu.

It would be my pleasure to help you find the perfect resort for your family and for your friend's family as well.
I like going the All inclusive route and then taking a break off site for a meal now and then. Especially if you pick a resort with the alcohol included. It sounds like you know what you want and what works for some doesn't always work for others.
