Delivering at LIJ
For those delivering at LIJ NHP I just wanted to let you know that they no longer give pacifiers. I know it was asked on here recently. When I delivered Aug 12 they gave them. But this time they said they don't anymore. So pack one if you want LO to have one! Other than that everything has been great here!

they didnt have provide them when i delivered in Feb.

We just took a bf class at Winthrop and were informed they longer have them there either. I am tryign to find out if they still give them St Luke's Roosevelt automatically as that is where I am delivering and I do not want them to give my baby one.

im not sure about st lukes but when i delivered at LIJ they specifically asked me if i wanted the baby to have a pacifier. it was not automatic there.

i would put this down in your "birth plan" just so you remember when you deliver...plus policies can change in a few months. they may not have them now, but may have them next month - who knows
eta - my birth plan consisted of 2 things...
epidural and pain killers - yes please
and do not circumcise if its a boy because we will have a bris
it was just a piece of paper that was in my hospital bag so i was prepared with things incase DH wasnt around or I had a csection and was too out of it to tell them these things.
