FIP Update
Update 2. He lost his battle today :(. I have no words.

Update:
From the blood levels, the vet was able to tell us that he has FIP. He's just a kitten, only 4 months. He didn't even learn his name yet. He won't get to grow up. He won't get to do so many things. I'm a bumbling mess.

I posted that I got a new kitten last month and introducing them to our resident cats. We named him Fritz.
Last week Fritz was sleeping all the time and he just stopped playing. I didn't think this was really normal for a kitten. I would wave something in front of him and sometimes he placed his paw on it, but that was it.  I decided that he should go to the vet just to see if it was ok. He was acting ok at this point and eating and drinking normally and using the litter box. The vet took a look at him and said it's probably just the stress of the other cats and get a stool sample and we can go from there. This was Thursday.
This continued on but on Monday night he stopped eating. I tried getting a stool sample and there wasn't any. We brought him in this morning. The vet took some blood, an X-ray, and did an ultrasound.
There is fluid in his abdomen-- a classic sign of FIP. We don't know for sure if it is FIP, but we will get the blood work results and go from there.
FIP is fatal. I'm beside myself here 
He's only 4 months old.
I don't usually ask for prayers, but if you can spare some thoughts for Fritz, that would be nice. I'm also kind of worried about my other cats.

But he did know love, for every moment of his life with you. He knew warmth, he knew safety. He knew you. And his life was perfect, no matter how long it was.
I am so sorry, I wish there was a cure. I wish there was a way to fix it. My heart is breaking for you, I am actually crying for your sweet baby.

Thank you for that. He has gotten a lot of love. I haven't been out much in the past month since we got him, and I've practically slept on the couch the past month. We had our cats separated a lot of the time, and we introduced them under strict supervision. He got a lot of love, and I have been off because of my work schedule at this time of year.
He got a lot of love. Tons. He is still getting a lot of love. I called in sick today to work (Thursday is the one day I work at the moment because of my schedule-- it picks up in October).
Thank you everyone for your prayers. Although he hasn't gotten better and won't get better, I know the prayers have eased his pain. I think the time may be next week.
