As soon as they started sharing ideas at the bar, I said it out loud to DH. Peggy doesn't seem happy about working for Don again.

I didn't feel bad for Pete but his FIL was a pot calling the kettle black! Why does Peggy's new apartment seem so different from when they looked at it with the realtor..I did feel bad for Joan too, after what she did to get that client...man I wish I could go back and live just one week in the 60s!!
eta: Oh and..a little creepy when Megan's mom was sitting in the living room and could hear her and Don in the bedroom.

Peggy didn't buy the apartment from last week- she was outbid. Instead she bought a place on the UWS which is where her boyfriend said he wanted to live. That's why the neighborhood is so bad.

When did this happen? I'm wondering if I missed an episode or they jumped ahead.
I like that they merged & that they were able to win the account.
Peggy's not looking too thrilled about it. I felt bad for Joan. I wish Don would have couched it as he could no longer do business with that scum & he apologized to Joan for the pressure they put on her. In the end, she's still a partner but I suppose it will be diluted now that they've merged.

I feel like Peggy emulates Don, and we all saw her steal his line from the heinz meeting. She is probably afraid that he will make her less important.

me too. I was just sitting on the edge of the couch waiting to hear the "merge" word come out. I even yelled out a few times "u should merge!!!!"
and how awesome is Roger??? OMG trolling for clients at the VIP lounges of an airport is priceless. Only Roger.... I was dying LOL
cant wait to see how Stan and Peggy get back into their happy place after she scewed him. as well as how will she be received back at SCDP esp jumping right back being in charge again.
and her face seeing Don in Ted's office was priceless 
Cant wait for next week!

The merger was so strange. Don't they need the other partners to vote on it? They just skipped over that part for tv, I guess?
They showed Peggy not getting the apt &her jerk of a boyfriend saying the west side was better, but it wasn't clear to me that they bought a new place, until she said to someone " I just bought an apartment."
I also like how she mentioned working for negative people, and now she is back there.

I don't think he lost the Vicks acct...his father in law is a douche. Pete has tried to come home so many times already. His father in law is embarrassed that he got caught.

Right. It's an interesting parallel the writers draw between the characters, over and over. Pete is a lot like Don but because Don is charming and suave he 'gets away with it' whereas Pete is sleazy and slimy. Don has also had NUMEROUS affairs and cheated on every woman he has been with, and he treated his wife (Betty) and now Megan with very little respect, and pays almost no attention to his kids. Him and Pete are almost the same with the exception of the charm factor.

great point. I think another character that is exactly like Don is Peggy. She too is as ambitious as Don and desperately wants to be happy but never fully is even when she gets what she wants.
