This was on FB from my friend from HS. It's her cousin that is requesting. Name taken out for privacy.
From my cousin ____ who lives in Sandy Hook. She asked us to repost this. PLEASE SEND A NOTE!
FOR ANYONE LOOKING TO HELP: I was at a BEAUTIFUL service yesterday and the pastor was asking us for help. The medical examiners that went into Sandy Hook school on 12/14 "walked through the gates of hell". They are suffering too and they need some support. Please write them a note of encouragement and thanks. Their address is: 11 Shuttle Road, Farmington, CT 06031. Please re-post. They need all the support they can get - worldwide. Thank you!

I have been seeing alot of these posts lately. I really love the idea of "acts of kindness" but beyond that...and this is only my opinion...I think these people need a moment to breathe. Between the media and reporters and other WBC threats on top of what they just dealt with I'm sure their heads have not stopped swirling. I think if everyone all over the us or all over the world is passing along the same message, bombarding these people who may be dealing with PTSD might be a little overwhelming for them. I would say, maybe the best thing is to donate to the local churches or volunteer there and THEY, being more local to the situation may know how better to support those who need it. I think this gesture is very sweet and shows amazing heart...but please consider that this is all very new and maybe these people might not want to be bombarded with a ton of mail right now.
maybe have cookies, food or fruit delivered to local police precincts, hospital and fire houses...maybe that would be better than having them read through letter after letter reminding them of what they have just experienced.

Thanks for this. I've been thinking about the first responders and police and MEs who've had to work on this and I can't imagine what they're going through. I hope they're all offered counseling and lots of support.
