Just finished! Interesting who GG ended up being.
ETA: Penn Badgley has to take care of that chest hair. It was out of control in those V-Necks!

Yes! wish the final episode was 2 hours instead of 1 hour talking with cast
oh and "chuck" with the British accent freak me out lol

Me too. Although when they were showing scenes from the first season, I couldn't believe how young they all looked!
And Ed Westwick when he speaks normally (British)...  HOT!!

Who was Rufus with in the end? I didn't recognize her. I was surprised with who Lilly was with though. I thought she would have ended up with Rufus.

That was Lisa Loeb who Rufus was with. I don't necessarily think that Lilly was with William, they were co-parents at the wedding.

I thought it was odd, but not surprising, that Georginia was with Uncle Bill bass -wasn't she married and had a son? Everything else was typical story line -nothing shocking. Although it was nice to see Ivy defeated!

My thoughts:
I liked how they tied the series up.
Blair and Chuck always belonged together.
As for Gossip Girl- I kind of always knew it was Dan, I didn't really see any other choice (Besides Jenny) and especially once they got to college, I felt they were gearing for the reveal to be Dan.
I think it was funny how Jenny and Eric didn't get any lines in the finale.
I think the Jack Bass and Georgina Sparks pairing worked- yes she was married, but that was 5 years ago.
I'm sad Nate is alone. Didn't really like the idea of him becoming mayor and going the political route.
Also loved the kristen bell scene!!!! wink!!!!
Rufus and Lily not working out... now I didn't like that... but I guess so that Dan and Serena could work out in the end, rufus and lily could not.
QUESTIONS:
What was with that Ivy Dickens play in the end? Lola was starring in it... but I wasn't sure I got all of the details.
Also Blair and Chuck's son- Henry, they kept emphasizing his name. Am I missing the reference? Why is naming him Henry something important?

I pretty much agree with all of this...saves me the effort of writing it all myself. As soon as I saw Jack and Georgina in the same scene, I said to DH (who does not watch the show), "now they would be perfect together."
I was very ready for this show to end, but really enjoyed last night's episode. They wrapped it up nicely.

I am soo sad its over! I know it was time, but I still have so many questions?!?!
I wonder who Nate ends up with? I didnt necessarily want to see him with Saige, but wonder what happened with her?
I also dont get what happened to Georginia's husband and son? It's like the writers regretted giving her a husband/son bc they were barely even mentioned this season.
I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I teared up when they showed Chuck & Blair's son - I so wanted them to up together and be happy. As far as the name Henry, isnt that the name he was calling himself when he was in Paris???
ETA: where was dan's mom???

I paused the screen to see what it was about. It was a play staring Lola based on an autobiography by Ivy Dickens - something about a con-artist taking manhattan for millions

I loved the finale! It ended perfectly. I thought it was pretty awesome who wound up being gossip girl. I liked when they were sitting around the couch discussing who they all thought gossip girl was. Gonna miss the show!

I just watched it and have to say I thought they did a nice job with it. It really tied up "most" loose ends and left with no cliffhangers. My only question is why was Rofus with Lisa Loeb????? Lol
