ipad (mini) or kindle fire?
Not for me, DH and I both have ipads... however our girls are always on them (4 and 6 y/o). I was thinking of getting them mini's for christmas as their big gift... but then I read some reviews on the kindle fire and it seems pretty decent (and cheaper too!) TIA

I would definitely get them the Kindle Fire HD. The iPad mini is such a rip off if you ask me.

For kids I'd go with the Kindle due to price and what they'd use it for.
I use my tablet for work and need to access the Internet everywhere. I can't do that on a Kindle as well as I can with an iPad. Not everywhere has free WiFi.
