How are the kids doing
with the storm and no lights? We are actually very lucky as we never lost lights but I know that DD would have been a basket case. The lights went out for 10 minutes and she was in panic mode. Hope all is doing well!!

How are the kids doing
we never lost power and since we have verizon fios we never lost tv. DS is having a difficult time for many reasons other than the storm that happened.
he has been out of school for a week with no home therapies & no structure. my DH has been home, which is throwing him off, since DH has been home i have been picking up hours at work, so i am not home and my ILs are without power so they have been here everyday as well.
he doesnt understand that some stores are closed and wants certain things he cannot have right now.
we are dealing, but i know once they go back to school (most likely next wednesday) i will have a very difficult time getting him in.
how is everyone else...

The kids have been great, considering. We lost power so we've been staying at my parents which both my daughters love. I've been trying to get them out a little each day for a walk. They've had tv and iPads. But I am very worried how Emma will be when she goes back. I'm a teacher so not only has she been with my parents everyday, she's used toeing with me everyday. She goes to Boces, so as of now she is not going back until at least Wednesday. I teach in Long Beach so I may be home for a while which will throw tine to throw her off.......

Not good. My 3 y/o regressed back to drinking milk out of a bottle. He wasn't eating or drinking anything for 2 days and I had no choice but to give it to him. He got one 8oz bottle a day. Then his sitter gave him juice in a bottle and now I am back to square one! He is eating a bit better now, so I am not pushing the milk on him anymore. I now leave sippy and straw cups all over during the day with juice and milk.. It will be a long process I think.. We had no power from the day of the storm until late lat night... We bounced from house to house for showers and a warm place to sleep.. He has no idea what is going on still

Mine had some trouble, though overall he did really well considering. We had no power for almost 2 weeks, and for one of the weeks we stayed with other people, so he was not in his home. At first, he had fun, but as time went by, he got angry over very little things, cried a lot, and had a lot of tics (he also has Tourette Syndrome). Now that the power is back and we're in our home, he seems a lot better, though he still has a lot of tics. Some acting out at school, which I hope will pass as he gets back into the school routine.
He was pooping in his pants too, but after a few days he told us the toilet seat was too cold, he didn't want to sit on it! So I don't think this was regression--I don't blame him, it was cold!
