I need potty help please!!!!!

DS will be 4 in September and I potty trained him in February....at least in theory. He will go on the potty if I bring him, but he will not tell me if he has to go. He pees in his pants sometimes because he doesn't say and maybe I'm in the kitchen so I don't notice the dance. I try to time him most of the time. Anywhere from 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours is about how often he'll go, more or less. However, if he has to poop, he'll say he has to use the potty. How do I get him to tell me he has to pee before he ruins all my furniture and carpet?

I would go to the dollar store n buy cheap lil stickers and whatever as prizes. Use a timer and every hour when timer goes off he has to go to the bathroom. Tell him if he does it all day long without a accident he gets to pick a prize. .
