c-section at Winthrop Recently

Anyone have a c-section at Winthrop recently? How long were you in recovery? Was the baby with you? Do they have private rooms anymore?

I did, though it was in October 2010.
C/s was on Thur went home on Sun. Baby was in the room when we wanted- she went back to nursery to sleep (also she was jaundice so had to be under the lamps). Baby was BF so she was brought to the room for feedings.

We had a private room - but they are by request and at a fee.

I did (semi-recently - Nov 2010)

DD was born on a Tues morning and we went home on Sat morning. I was in recovery for awhile, but I had problems with my heart rate. Typically I think you're in your room after 2 hours or so. They brought the baby to me. They have two private rooms, and they try not to double people up in the regular rooms if possible. When I had DD, the hospital was packed and they had women spilling into antepartum, so everyone had a roommate.

I just had a childbirth class and they said every room is a private room now. They only double if it's an emergency
