Thoughts on winter-white pants

I bought a pair of Victoria's Secret dress pants called "coconut milk", and wore them yesterday with a sweater. This guy I know through work said to me, "Didn't Labor Day already pass?" I wasn't aware that he was part of the Fashion Police, but am I in violation of fashion codes here?!?! I had a co-worker tell me I looked like a model in my outfit, so what gives?!

That's a very old fashioned way of thinking on that guy's part, IMO. I'm sure the pants were totally fine. I actually love the look of winter white pants.

Re: Thoughts on winter-white pants

I was actually wondering the same thing. I don't subscribe to the "no white after labor day" notion, but I just don't know how to wear white pants! But I love the look! I bet you look awesome, don't worry about it.

I love how they looks...just wish I could buy them! I have too much fear of my kids hands & faces, sitting in something, or the bottoms getting dirty!

Re: Thoughts on winter-white pants

First of all- tell this guy to get with the times.
White after Labor Day hasn't been a fashion no-no in YEARS.

Secondly- winter white and cream was never a fashion no no in the winter.

I happen to love it!

Thank you all!! I told the guy that he was SO wrong (even said he's a "tool box" as one poster stated!) and that I will continue to wear my white or winter white pants proudly! Chat Icon

Re: Thoughts on winter-white pants

As long as white pants are not made out of linen, they are perfectly acceptable for winter! In fact, I love luxurious heavy white fabrics in the winter time: they always look very chic and expensive!
