For those who plan to EP...
I am planning on EP and supplementing with formula....what do I need to bring with me to the hospital? Do I bring the formula I plan on using and start pumping when I get home or do I bring formula and a pump...so confused???

They have a pump in the hospital for you to use, but if you want to, you can bring your own. Usually the hospital starts the baby on a formula and you just kind of follow what they've used unless there is an issue with it.

I ep since DD was in the NICU and I used the Medela Symphony, and it was in my room for me. They did supp w/Enfamil and I was fine with that. I live OOS so thi is not a local hospital for you. I suggest bringing a different size flange. Standard with pumps is M and I found that I needed an XL to get the most milk and that was weeks later! Depending on your nipple size you may find a differnt size is better for you. You really shouldn't need anything else, and I don't know if they can let you use a differnt formula you brought. It may be a code violation. The first few days will be just colostrum so you won't have much to give.

Thank you...this is a great tip, I didnt even think of that since I have no experience with pumping at all.
