where to go in october? (bump w/new ques at bottom)
i'm stumped. dh have made it a tradition to go away for our anniversary each october (right around columbus day) instead of buying one another gifts.
for our 1 year we did salem; 2nd - philly; 3rd - boston and 4th we did a cruise to belize, mexico and key west.
this october obv will be our 5th, kind of a biggie for us - and our last as just a couple... i will be approx 20 weeks preggo at that time. so anything revolving around drinking is out (dh isn't much of a drinker anyway). dh suggested philly again - but as much as i loved everywhere we have been so far, i don't want to repeat quite yet.
i loved the feel of the "smaller" trips the 1st 3 years... i was thinking maybe montreal, but i don't know.
any suggestions??

I was going to suggest bermuda if you wanted a big trip. this is where DH and I went for our HM in October. Perfect weather.
Otherwise, montreal, quebec or toronto or even newport, RI.

I think New England in October, with the leaves changing, etc. is great, - Vermont, upstate NY, etc.

been to bermuda 2x, once w/fam as a kid and once with dh a couple of years ago - and both in oct! very beautiful there.
i like the ideas of montreal and newport... which do you think would be better for (a) a pregnant lady, (b) in october? also, how much time is needed for either?

Newport i would say only like a long weekend....It is beautiful there but it is also their off season so it maybe quiet there.....

We did Newport in October (for our anniversary) 3 years ago and it is very nice for a long weekend! Usually around that time the seafood festival is going on and there is lots to do and lots of yummy food and a nice bed and breakfast...very romantic!

DH and I are going on a cruise around the same time for our 1yr anniversary! I will be 22wks preggo which works out bc you have to pay for for drinks anyway LOL
Well we just booked last week at 519pp for 8 days eastern carribbean. You should come and join us, so then I won't be the only one knocked up in a bikini

 aww i'm sure you won't be the only one knocked up in a bikini!! is this your 1st cruise? dh & i have been on 3, the most recent was last october for our 4 year anniversary. you will love it!
we are between montreal and chicago right now... leaning towards montreal.
