I haven't been hypnotized.
But I do know someone who used hypnosis to quit smoking. She claimed it worked and highly recommends it to others.

Im actually going to do it next week so I'll be happy to report back & let you know. My FIL did it to quit smoking. Worked like a charm, he has been smoke free for 5 yrs.

I got hypnotized on a cruise ship...to this day i still remember running around the stage chasing my belly button that fell off and was rolling around

My Dad went for smoking and it worked and I went for my fear of flying to the same person. It worked but you have to keep it up. He gave me a tape to sort of put me in a trance on the the plane and it did work but again, you have to keep up the sessions with him.

FIL, DH, and BIL all went to be hypnotized to help them quit smoking. All three still smoke.

Yes and no.....in a psychology class once in college. He had us try to go back to when we were really young and write our name. When we "woke up" and looked at the paper, it looked like a five year old had written it.
Hypnosis only works if you let it......if you are intentionally resistant to it, it does not work. And hypnosis does NOT make people do things involuntarily..........whatever you do under hypnosis is because you choose to, not because you are forced to.

Also, one of my dear friends did a few hypnosis sessions in order to lose weight. She said it was really helpful, but only because she was 100% willing to let the person do the hypnosis.
