those of you who have 2 kids... (re: birth of 2nd)
who watached your first DS while you were giving birth? I am having a scheduled c-section and I want my parents at the hospital when I give birth, but I assume DH's parents will want to be there also. Who watched your first DC?

I don't have any experience with this, since I only have 1 so far, but do you have a neighbor you could ask? Friend? Sibling? Especially since you have a scheduled C-section, you can plan it ahead of time and not have to worry about disturbing anyone in the middle of the night, etc.

My mom
It was just DH & me at the hospital which was OK with us. I had her at 6:44pm and everybody (including DS) came the next day.

My mom had my DD. It was just my DH and I at the hospital. I had a scheduled c-section too. My mom came later to visit me and my step-dad stayed with Chelsea. DS was in the NICU so she didn't come visit him until he was out 3 days later.

MIL and FIL stayed at my house with DD the day of my scheduled c-section.
My father was at the hosptial and saw me and the baby after he was born and I was out of recovery.
Him and my step-mother then went back to my house to watch DD so that MIL and FIL can come see us.
The next day my IL's brought DD up to see me and meet the baby and then brought her back to their house in Queens (I live in NJ). They brought her home the day I came home from the hospital.

My parents & then they came about an hour later w/ DD (they were there by the time I got back to my room). I had a sked CS as well.

My parents came to my house the night before my scheduled c/s to stay with DS. I had the first c/s of the morning. My parents took DS to the hospital with them. They met the rest of the family and everyone got to meet DD at the same time.

My mom's husband stayed with Ashley during my 2nd c/s. My mom was in the hospital waiting room. They all came up that night to visit me and brought Ashley with them since I was feeling great.

My sister watched DS while I was taken to the hospital (DS2 came VERY early so I was taken by ambulance). She brought him to my parents home later that day after they came back from visiting me in the hospital.

DD#2 was with my parents at the hopsital, I had a sceduled c/s. She was 7 1/2 though.

I went into labor in the evening, and had my sister stay over with us since I knew I'd be heading to the hospital at some point that night.
That allowed DD to stay home sleeping, and in the morning my parents came over and brought her to the hospital.

My parents watched her in the waiting room (she was just shy of 4). But I had a scheduled c-section, so we knew what to expect in terms of when they should be there, how long it would take, etc.

My parents had DD while I had DS (c-section). The first night I didn't have any visitors, but the next day DH and my parents had a routine down with DD.

My parents watched DD..They brought her to the hospital right after I had DS...they would have been there sooner but DD insisted on eating breakfast before they left lol ( it worked out well that she was sleeping at my parents house that night and my water broke so they already had her..if not i would have waited for them to come over before leaving for the hospital)

When I went into labor I dropped DD off at the babysitter. My SIL and MIL had her until I was getting close, then they took her up to the hospital. She was 4.

Since I went into labor 8 weeks prior to my C-section date, my IL's had to rush here at 5am to watch DS who was still sleeping. Only my DH & I were at the hospital for the birth of our second DS bc it was such a rush situation. My parents who live OOS, started their journey down when they found out that I was in the hospital (Even though at that point we had no clue I was going to deliver). Everyone came to see us later that day

DS was with our family at the hospital. When I first went to the hospital, my mother had him, but then when they decided to do a c-section, everyone came to the hospital with DS.
