Benadryl for Baby with congestion
My 9 month old DD has a cold. No fever, but runny nose and congestion. She also is having problems sleeping. The pediatrician said I could give her 1/2 teaspoon of Benadryl.
Does that sound OK?

I had the same problem with DS around the same age. Both the dr and pharmacist said it was ok. I gave 1/4 of a teaspoon instead...But they sai 1/2 was fine...It helped but made him hyper...

I've given DD benedryl for the same reasons...she's 24 lbs and i was told 1/4 teaspoon

DS is 16 months old & I was told to give him 1/2 tsp & it truly has worked. He was 26lbs at his 15 month checkup

yup our DS was the same way as yours and our ped suggested the same thing but i only gave 1/4 tspn just in case.
ETA: DS was just about 15 months at the time and 24 lbs at his 12 month check up (havent had 15 month yet).
