UPDATE!!! Registering and buying baby furniture tonight!
Thanks again for ALL of the kind words and hugs yesterday! We went and it wasn't nearly as bad as I had expected it to be!
We got the big ticket items out of the way on the registry and also picked out our crib and dresser (all we have room for!), which is so exciting!
We have lots more to add and we are going to look online tonight to do that. But it was a very positive experience - I've been to the store a few times now and I gotta say that the staff at the BBB in Westbury are amazing! So helpful and friendly.

Those of you who read my posts (I know there are like, three of you ) will know I've been a big bundle of stress over this stuff for quite some time! So DH and I are starting our registry tonight and picking out our crib and dresser (all we have room for in our one-bedroom apartment!).
My game plan is to relax and remember that I can add and subtract from the registry at any time, and that this is supposed to be FUN and not overwhelming.
We'll see how I do!

Have fun! Also, remember if you are registering at bbb you can set up a FREE appointment with a consultant who will take you around the store and help you out! We did this on our 2nd time (after being a WEEEE bit stressed out on the first) and it was really nice. . to get the things we forgot and such. .we did still reject some of their suggestings (I'm in that same 1 BR situation you are!!! )

Good Luck and Have Fun!!! DH and I were overwhelmed while at BBB but we just did the major things and I went and added more online.
It really is a lot of fun so enjoy it

I'm not going to lie, it's very overwhelming. I also did it all by myself and was so exhausted, I had to lie in bed when I got home.
Just get it over with and adjust at home. I'm still doing it with days till my shower.

Have fun!!!!! This is coming from someone that was the Queen of Stress during registering  . I just registered for the most practical, minimal things possible, and I'm really happy that I did that because I was freaking out over what to put on it! I'm registered at BRU and Amazon if you ever want to check it out!

Take it NICE AND EASY and don't stress! DH and I went to BRU after our 8 week appt. to just look around, take some notes of things we liked, and left because registering for our bridal shower was a DISASTER. We were totally unorganized and at each other's throats over spatulas of all things. And don't worry if you don't get it all done, you can always go back! Have fun!

Remember-you can always go online and edit/add items..that was a godsend for me. I was editing and adding until like 2 weeks before my shower.

Good luck and have fun! It is very overwhelming, but you can always add and remove if you change your mind! We went over the weekend and I think I've changed things 100 times already, DH wanted to change our password!! We have a 1 bedroom too and we were really stressed, but it all worked out. Give us an update later on!
