John Feeney, Flower Michele...Updated with Viewing Information
It is with utter sadness that I write this, but I know that many of us on here were LIWedding brides and may have worked personally with John or have heard of him.
John Feeney of Flower Michele passed away yesterday from a heart attack, leaving behind a wife and beautiful little girl.
I'm in the process of obtaining details, but will post the funeral information as soon as possible.
I ask all to please send their thoughts and prayers to his family and friends at this time.
I'm so happy that I had the chance to spend so much time with him this year working on many of our client's weddings and discussing things un-wedding related of course. He was a true floral genius, an amazing giver of all things, and a true inspiration.
Thank you John for everything, and most of all being a friend.

Funeral Information
Visiting at the Francis P. DeVine Funeral Home Inc. Thursday and Friday 2-4 7-9 p.m.
Funeral Mass St. Dominic’s Chapel Oyster Bay Saturday 9:30 am. Cremation private

omg!!! How horrible! My prayers are with his family! He did my flowers for my wedding and was my favorite vendor to work with! Till this day I talk about how amazing my flowers were

Oh my, I am so sad to hear that. He did the flowers for our wedding, and he was also one of my favorite vendors.

wow that is really sad. we used fm for our wedding and was so pleased with the work compared to some local florist i had tried. So sorry to hear this.
John thank you for the wonderful work and for especially helping me keep in budget!

I'm so saddened to hear this. I loved working with John on my wedding flowers (8+ years ago!!). He was so warm and wonderful - my favorite vendor. I went back and visited his shop a number of times after our wedding.
