I know I'm being childish but this is bugging me....
I told my close friend that I was nervous about doing it but I was going to get my DD an extreme haircut. She has mid length hair and I was going to get it chopped chin length. DD and I saw a pic in a magazine and we both really liked it.
Well wouldn't you know that the very next day my friend that I told about the haircut walked in with her DD's hair chopped chin length. And everyone is raving about it. (her DD and my DD are like BFs)
Now my DD still wants to get her hair chopped. But I'm annoyed! I feel like I'm regressing about 25 years or so but now I don't want my DD to get the haircut!!
ARGH!!! 
ETA: The girls are both 5 years old.

I'm confused...why wouldn't you want to get her hair cut now? Because someone else has the same haircut?

Yes...it is her BF and it just bugs me. . I told you I was being childish! 
P.S. If DD really wants the haircut I will let her get it...

I hear ya! That would totally annoy me too. Funny, I just chopped DD's hair this past week too. She gets a lot of compliments on it, so I am glad I did it. Plus, it's so nice and cool for summer.
I say get your vent out but don't stress over it. Get your DD's haircut too and remember it was still your idea first

Thanks! It makes me feel better that it would annoy you too. I've never been brave enough to do anything with my hair so I was really excited and nervous to do this for my DD. And then the very next day after I tell me friend about it her DD walks in with that haircut!!!!

I'm childish with stuff like this too so ITA with you!! Just letting you know I know its not mature of me, but I would try to talk her out of the haircut too. But of course if she still wants it then I would let her get it.

I hear ya! It's not childish. It really bugs me when friends copy at this stage of our lives Shouln't we be beyond that I've been there and it irks me everytime. My mom always says to let it go, but that's hard!
I KNOW it's a "form of flattery" and all that, but it's still super annoying!
