Week 1-
Did C25K week 1- completed
JM- 2x
Abs nightly
watched what I ate
down 1.5lbs

Week 2-
Did C25K week 2- completed

down another 1lb

Week 3- FAILURE/VACATION/NADA!

Week 4- Begins June 15 for me, I'm all sorts of off. and def. gained back my weight while in St. Thomas. Chat Icon I suck.

Hello ladies. I'm sorry that I haven't updated at all. Chat Icon I am ashamed to say that I haven't done ANYTHING that I set out to do when we signed up to do this challenge. I have not restarted WW nor have I started the C25K program. Chat Icon I am in a real funk and cannot seem to get my asss in gear, which is really stressing me out because ultimately, I have over 100lbs to lose. I did buy new sneakers at the running store and I also signed up for a 4 mile run in Sayville on my birthday (Aug 7th) but at the rate I am going now, I won't be able to friggin walk it!!

The only shred of exercise I did was last Friday, I took both DDs for a long walk to Starbucks which according to my car odometer, was 2.2 miles and afterwards DH and the older kids met us for dinner so we had a ride home and on Sat. I walked to Starbucks again with my DDs and walked all the way home, so I got in 4.4 miles. Other than that, nothing.

I asked DH to clean out the garage and get my treadmill cleaned up so I can get my fat asss on it, which he did for me Sat night. I half heartedly looked for my sports bras yesterday and today, to no avail- DH and I are in the process of moving from our old bedroom to our new extension. I make myself nauseous everytime I look in the mirror, and yet, I still fail to get on the treadmill or eat better!! W.T.F. is wrong with me!! I am just so tired from working full time and not sleeping more than 6 hours per night, that I can't seem to make these positive changes. Does anyone have any words of help/encouragement to get me on track. I feel like I am drowning. Chat Icon



Chat Icon Do you need an exercise buddy? I've found that I am sticking to my diet and exercising more now that I have someone holding me accountable, and calling me out. I'll go walking with you if you want!

You HAVE done something-now you have to do the bigger stuff.

I think you need to join WW and go to meetings. Worry about exercising later, just get to a meeting and get started. It's the hardest thing, but the most importantChat Icon

Lorich - how is week 2 going? are you glad you didn't repeat??

Gabi - UGH. I feel you girlie! It's SO hard for me. I am having the hardest time, but I think couch to 5k is a good way to start. Unlike eddiesmommy though, I HATE it! haha. I think I just hate working out. It's not fun to me. I only do it because I want to see results. It feels good to get dressed and go. While I'm there, I dread EVERY minute of it. I BEG myself to keep going and push through it. And when I'm done, I take a nice long shower (hey, there's some "me" time!) and then after THAT, I actually feel good. To stay motivated, I keep looking at old pictures of myself and telling myself that I can get back to that. I remind myself of events that are coming up and how I want to look. I remind myself that I want to be the best mommy for my little guy... I want him to grow up and be embarrassed because his friends think I look good! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Like PPs said, do you have a workout buddy?

I also go to the gym in our apartment complex and while I'm on the treadmill, I actually get almost 30 minutes to WATCH TV!!! haha - I never get that at home, well rarely. I watch some MINDLESS tv... like Tyra banks or something else that I wouldn't normally waste my time on...

I also have been seeing small results and that is keeping me going!!!

The Elite Nutrition is a guide/manual included in the Insanity workout program. It outlines the "right" food and "right" proportions. It has a balanced meal plan you are to follow to succeed in reaching your goals through out the program.

It is not a "diet" it is plan that will teach you how to eat healthy for the duration of the program and for life. It focuses on eating 5 meals a day, none to large or too small. It encourages frequent eating for optimal metabolism and provides stamina for the intense workouts!

Early 20s - HA, that was wishful thinking on my part! If I were still in my early 20s I wouldnt be trying to get my prebaby body back....Id still be hot! That shouldve said early 30s!

Hey, dont beat yourself up. Maybe youre not exercising bc you havent found an exercise that you like doing? I CANNOT tell you how many times I have signed up for the gym only to NEVER go, not once. I started the C25K though and I LOVE it. So for me, the gym isnt my thing, but I love running. Maybe try something different, that doesnt seem like such a chore, or torture to do. Maybe Zumba, or a kickboxing class (I just signed up for 3 classes for $19.99) to just try it first. Are you the type who needs to be scheduled maybe? For instance, if you have a class you have to be at, then youll show up?

Chat Icon Chat Icon My day is packed from when my DDs get up at 6:30am until when I collapse in bed after getting home from work at 1:30am, so I don't have time to take classes at a gym or meet up with a workout buddy right now. I just need to get my asss to the store so I can buy new sportsbras and get on the treadmill at home!!

I tried the C25K in 2007 before I got married and I did really well on it, but didn't finish. I think I made it until week 6 and I injured my foot and never went back to it. Chat Icon Chat Icon I know that after the initial misery of running, I will start to look forward to pushing myself and feeling exhausted afterwards. Chat Icon It's the getting ON the friggin treadmill that escapes me now. But all in all, the C25K is the best thing for me, b/c I can stay home and do it while the girls are napping before I take a shower and jump in the car to go to work at 2pm.

I am notorious for looking at the big picture and psyching myself out about it. You are absolutely right, I need to cut my goals of weight loss into smaller increments. I downloaded the WW app to my BB so I can track points again, since I need to do it online- no time for meetings, plus they don't really motivate me much. I just wish I could find my friggin sportsbras so I could just get on the treadmill already! I think I am gonna try and see if I can take the babies out tomorrow to Modells to buy new ones.

maybeamommy: Thanks Hayley! Like you, I am not really into exercise, though I will admit, I've always wanted to be a runner! Go figure! I used to even subscribe to Runners World (great magazine, btw) and I wasn't even running at the time!! Chat Icon And my dream is to complete the NYC Marathon someday. Chat Icon But, I have all of these aspirations but have such a hard time starting and staying the course. I am gonna use your trick of taking out an old pic of myself though. I have a pic of me in my uniform the day I graduated from the police academy 12.5 years ago. I was at my thinnest EVER as an adult and in really good shape! I could've actually lost another 20 lbs but I was so happy then. I am gonna put that pic in a place where I can see it everyday to motivate me. Thanks for the tip!! And I really want to look good for my girls. I don't want them to be known as the girls with the fat mommy. Not to mention, if I ever get transferred and end up back in uniform... ITA. Go to WW.

I am not really exercising. I am gardening, walking with DS in the stroller.

Don't try to tackle too much at once if you are overwhelmed.

ETA: I am doing WW online because otherwise I would never go to the meetings.

Week Three Check-In:

Body - down 6 pounds, not coming off as fast as i would like
Endurance - is picking up, noticing i can do more for a longer amount of time.
Diet Progress - watching what i am eating, ocassional sli[ up but am doing good staying on track, the blackberry app for sharkpeople.com has really helped me keep track of calories.
Workout Progress - running and running all over the house chasing my daughter so lots of running

Week 3 update (or is week 4?):

-1.8Lbs

Total since official start of mommy makeover: -7.4 Lbs

Body - Pants are getting much looser at waist and thights

Endurance - Feel lighter and not as tired

Diet Progress - Adjusted my points this week since I did not do anything really physical except work

Workout Progress - NADA!!! No gardening. I needed a break. Still had some activities done for the 2 days I worked. But nothing for the other 5 days. Gardening to resume for week 4.

Why am I not seeing Any results!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon I've been working out consistantly at least 4 times a week for 3 weeks now!! NOTHING HAPPENING!! not on the scale..not really in my clothes!! Im getting angry.. Just started the c25k on saturday..started on week 4. Maybe that will do something!! Chat Icon Granted...I didn't eat very well on the weekend but really...could that really be it!! During the week i eat pretty well!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

My workouts: 30 mins on treadmill (now doing the c25k plus crunches on the decline bench and push ups.)

I hate it b/c I know...this will totally kill my motivation!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon
Just a vent and any advice would be great!!!

Body - I still think I look exactly the same, despite my weight loss and exercise, which is so frustrating. Im just bummed that even though the scale is showing a difference, that my body isnt AT ALL.

Endurance - Week 3 of c25k was TOUGH! But I did it. My endurance must be better since I was able to do it in the first place!

Diet Progress - down another 1.2 this week for a total of 10lbs!!!!!

Workout Progress - Just ran and did my abs DVD last week. Start week 4 this week, kickboxing tomorrow. I hate the stability ball thing, so Im not doing that. I think I may sign up for yoga though at a new place in KP. They have a beginner class, 6 weeks for $55.

are you tracking your calorie intake at all? I didnt eat that badly either but when I started really calculating how much I was taking in, I was shocked. It was way more than I had thought.
