I find throws on couches make them so cozy and make the home feel warm and homey. I also find pictures of those that live in the home makes a house a home.

DH and I like to travel, and bring stuff back from all our adventures. Having those knick-knacks and pictures and our personal touches scattered throughout our house makes it feel homey to me.

PAINT! your own taste in the rooms is big! for a homey feel, try warm colors. And if the walls are already your taste, for a cozy feel, try adding fabrics, soft throw pillows or a comfy area rug.

area rugs if you have hardwoods, candles, pictures, different textures in the room (like natural textures), pillows, throws on the coach and beds and even chairs. Little pieces that are important to you and your family. Color on the walls, they can be warm or cool, either way it gives your home a lived in feel. Hope that helps.

The color on the walls, photos on display, lighting, throw pillows and blankets.

I believe the color should complement your decor. It doesn't necessarily need to be warm, but complementary and inviting.

Light up dark areas. Turn off harsh overhead lights and turn on lamps.

I like the idea of pillows you can snuggle with and a blanket you can throw on. I have a basket with two rolled up blankets in it. They are used ALL the time.

Comfy pillows on the couch that makes visitors feel like they're at home too.

Paint, art work, shelving, candle sticks, pillows. I just looked around my family room (which I love).

lighting...as much as those engery saver light bulbs are good, I hate the cold looking lighting it gives.
