one of SDs classmates killed himself yesterday
according to the kids he "jumped in front of a train"
I can't find anything on the news about it though. How terribly sad!!

I did hear on the news channel 12 of a pedestrian struck and killed by a train but they were withholding his identity, very sad. but this was I think sunday- could they just be releasing the name yesterday?

Was it in Lynbrook? There was a person struck by a non-passenger train at the Lynbrook station last night during rush hour.
The train I was on passed thru Lynbrook shortly after it happened, and it was not a pretty sight.
I'm so sorry to hear this.

It was yesterday and it was in Lynbrook, this poor kids family :(
His FB page is loaded with kids telling him how special he was, I wish he would have realized how much he meant to people.
This is the first death of a person close to SD, she's totally freaked out.
So sad.

I thought I was hearing things on my train last night when they said a passenger was struck in Lynbrook. I feel for that family. Suicide is not easy to understand at all

I went thru this went I was her age....not 1 but 2 girls I was friends with did this
I am still haunted by it -16 years later
Make sure she gets to talk to someone if she needs too....so awful and sad

When I was in grammar school, the brother of one of my good friend's committed suicide by jumping in front of a train in Lynbrook. This story bring me right back to when I am 13 and it's scary!

unfortunately there have been several kids who committed suicide by jumping in front of a train in lynbrook. they have fixed and put up fences. there were 2 kids who died because they were sitting on the tracks and not looking to commit suicide
