IUIs and laying on the table after...
How long did you/ did the doctor say to lay back right after you had your IUI.
My doctor said to lay back for 5 minutes and a nurse came in after exactly 5 minutes to tell me that if I felt ok, I could get dressed. I thought that was rather quick since i had read onlineand on here that others laid back for longer.

Each Dr said something different. The longest was 15 minutes. Other said to listen to 3 songs on thier radio or five minutes.

They had me wait for under 5 minutes.
After my ET (with IVF), they told me I could pee immediately after they put the embies in. No way! I didn't pee the rest of the day. I think I did the same thing w/ IUI's. I know they say that the little guys can't fall out but I wasn't about to take any chances!

I was told to lie there for 15-20 minutes. The first time I asked for DH to come in and they got him.
The second time I asked for DH to come in and they forgot.
pfftt!

DH was in the room with me both times the first time I waited like 20 min went right home and rested all day. The second time it was under 10 I peed right after and didn't go home right away and we got a BFP-GO FIGURE!

She told me to wait 5 min and that it really doesn't matter because once its in its in. But she told me to take my time and do whatever I felt comfortable with. So far no success with IUI so maybe I should wait longer on the table.

15 minutes for me - but my IUI didn't work so I don't think the time made a difference!

I used to wait anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes. DH was always with me during the procedures and would be making me laugh. I used to be afraid that I would "push" the spermies out.
It never worked anyway so guess it really doesn't matter how long.

The one time I didn't bother to lay on the table for more than a few minutes (it was iui #5) I got up, got dressed and went to the mall.
That's the time I got my bfp.
But we did say a prayer after this iui, so I'm hoping that had something to do with it

Maybe 5 minutes or so.
It doesn't matter, they place the sperm into your uterus, its not going anywhere.
I had 2 IUIs and BFP both times.
