Any other second timers (or more)

NOT know what contractions feel like? I don't......with DS my water broke and by the time they hooked me up to the pitocon I got the drugs that knocked me on my azz (and I won't be getting this time) followed by the epi so I have no clue, but I really would like to experience some this time Chat Icon

Re: Any other second timers (or more)

I know what they feel like, but they didn't come naturally, I was induced. So I worry about not knowing what it will feel like to go into labor on my own.

Same here. But I really hope I go into labor on my own this time, I want that experience of telling DH 'it's time' and to have that adrenaline rush of going to the hospital bc the baby is coming.

OMG I'm the total opposite. Now with DS, I'm thinking I hope we get to go to the hospital in a controlled, planned manner again. It doesn't help that I lived only blocks from the hospital last time but this time will have to get to NYC from LI.

To answer OP, I was induced and got the epi so early that I don't think I really know what they feel like either!

I hope you get it!! I got it the first time and it was wonderful. I woke him up and this was our convo:

me: "it's time to go!"
Him: "go where?" (he was dead asleep)
me: "to the hospital!"
him: "to the hospitallll?"
me: "yes! it's time!"
him: "who told you to go to the hospital?"
me: "the doctor"
him: "the doctor himself??"
me: "yessssss!"
him: "well then i guess it's time. OMG!"

lol..first he didnt realize what was going on. then he thought i spoke to some automated service that said "if you're feeling x, go to the hospital". when he realized, we were both like giddy kids. so awesome :)

I am looking forward to it again last time.

I have no clue. I was having contractions but didn't feel them. I had a c-section 1st time around and will have another this time around so I may never know what they feel like Chat Icon

I had the exact same experience... water broke and epi before I felt anything. However, I ended up having a C-Sec... so I will be having a repeat C-Sec and I will go through this life not knowing about labor pain...Chat Icon
