The infant carrier? No, that one is easy.
The regular car seat, that CAN get more complicated depending on the car you have.

My dh did it this past weekend (with me telling him what to do) and there really aren't many steps(we used the latch). The only thing that made it take a little longer was that it wasn't level right away so we had to adjust it(the infant seat).

our township (in pa) has a monthly car seat installation thing they do. DH is going friday b/c thats the only day in oct. but they install it, show you how to use it, etc. all for free.
maybe check with your local area and see if they offer something like that.

I have been calling around the Nassau County car seat installation sites this morning. The Nassau County Traffic Safety Board (Car Seat Chris) has Friday afternoons available this month. North Shore Plainview is booked for this month's event, next event is November 22. I left a message at Schneider's Children's Hospital, they have an event October 17 at AAA in Garden City.

DH did it in a few minutes with the Latch thing- he said it was simple.

we have the convertibles in both cars for DD, one is latch and the other isn't. they aren't hard to install but we did watch a bunch of videos online. we had the state police in farmingdale check them and they told us we did a superb job!
