How do you know she didn't buy two of them with the intention of giving your DS one as well.

she def. didn't buy 2 , it was purchased before DS was born and she has been complaining about having this toy for over a year. I just feel like it should have just been given to him, don't make it like you went out and bought HIM a gift.

Well, maybe she thought your DS would enjoy it? I mean, I don't think there is any real harm....
I'm sorry you are insulted, but times can be tough and the effort does can count for something IMO
