Bedding question (poll)

I am team green and i dont want to pick a neutral bedding set bc i havnt found any that i like. I def want either boy or girl.

So i have found a boy and a girl bedding set that i like. My question is: should i bu both and as long as return policy is in my favor, return the one i wont need, or wait for baby to be born but risk the chance that the bedding i like isnt available anymore?

Thoughts?

BTW- when i say "buy now" i dont mean like this week. I mean, before baby comes, prob over the summer sometime

Re: Bedding question (poll)

I say buy both sets before the baby is born & if you are painting the room, find a color that goes with both beddings.

Originally when we were team green, we were going to buy both sets & paint the room a tanish color. When I had the baby, my SIL was going to go to our house (prior to me coming home) & set the crib up with the appropriate bedding.

Re: Bedding question (poll)

I say buy now and return later. DH and I have both beddings in the house. We painted the nursery green, but the two boy and girl beddings we picked are somewhat similiar... boy we have enchanted forest and girl we have the girly winnie the pooh. The paint, carpet and mural of the tree match either set. When the baby is here we'll return one. Makes it easier.

Re: Bedding question (poll)

DH and I painted the nursery a chocolate brown with cream wainscoting. We bought both boy and girl bedding that had the chocolate brown color in it - the girl set was pink and chocolate brown and the boy set was a jungle theme with the same brown color. That way, when DD was born, everything matched and we just returned the boy bedding Chat Icon

If you happen to come across something you love now I say buy it (if the return policy is in your favor) if not, I say wait.

I had both sets picked out and put them on my registry right before I was due. This way my dh could go pick out the right set!

Re: Bedding question (poll)

I picked out what I wanted for a girl and a boy when I was PG with Ryan, being on Team Green.
Then I had Ryan and decided I actually no longer wanted the set I picked (since they don't really USE the bedding, I decided I wanted to opt for a monogrammed quilt and got his name and birthday put on it for a keepsake). Therefore, I'm glad I waited. Honestly, I ordered it from PB within a week of him being born (and a christmas stocking and halloween costume since they were on clearance and it was March Chat Icon ) and his room was set WAY before he was ever in it.

Re: Bedding question (poll)

do you plan to put baby in his/her crib right away? If not, I say buy the bedding later.

My DD sleeps in a bassinet in our room, she's 12.5 weeks now and haven't slept in her crib yet, so the bedding is just there for show and collecting dust.
We plan to transition her to the crib soon, as she's getting too long for the bassinet.

ITA! I wouldn't risk it not being available later or even put myself in the situation of having to go out and purchase bedding with a newborn.

I say wait.
We picked out two sets and my mother bought the set after the baby was born.
