High Chair question
We received the Chicco Polly High Chair for our shower. It's still in the box since DD is only 6 weeks old. I have a 2br apt and now I feel like with all this baby gear around the house I am drowning. I know the Polly folds up but my kitchen is not that big. I was wondering how much you actually use your high chair. Is it a necessity.
I also have this
Fisher Price Healthy Care Booster
Will this work for everyday feedings or does the highchair work better? TIA

I like having the high chair especially for the recline feature. My DD had a tendency to fall asleep in her high chair. We had a booster like that and while we did use it a lot. I never felt as safe with her in there as I did with her high chair.

DD will be 10 weeks old on Sunday and we just started using the high chair so she can sit with us when we have dinner. I have one like the Polly that folds up.
I would wait a little longer before you decide to return it. Or if you do return it, you can always buy it again.

Can you store it someplace for now? I started using my highchair at 3 months I think -- but could have really waited longer. I wouldn't return it because you will just need to re-buy it in a few months for sure.

I think it is fisher price that makes a newborn to toddler feeding seat that is small and easily stored.

DS started with the high chair at 5 months. Until then it was in our basement. It takes up so much of our already small dining room, but it's worth it! He plays in it while we eat dinner and it's been great to have another place to put him
Hang onto it a little while longer.

We have this one and a regular high chair - long story - but we love this one. It is great when we go to my parents club as the high chairs are too big for her and it is a perfect size for dd. Also we use it at my parents home - it is very comfortable, doesn't take up much space and is easy to carry with you if you go out. It reclines and everything. Also much sturdier than the other chairs that attach to seats.

We have this one and use it as our everyday highchair since our kitchen is really small and we don't have the room for a full size one. We have been using it since 4 months and now at 14 months it is still great. It is very easy to clean, very sturdy, takes up little space and it converts to a booster when they are ready.
I definitely recommend it if you don't have a lot of space. We have a similar one at my mom's house and we have the healthy care booster that was posted above for when we go out. It is great for that, but I don't think that I would want to use it for an everyday one.

I don't think you need the high chair at all (IMO). I said right from the beginning I wish we would have returned ours. We DID use it only b/c we had it but I wish we would have returned it.

we have the chicco poly and it really does fold up very thin. I had an evenflo with my first and hated it and debated getting another high chair or getting abooster. I'm glad we got the chicco, b/c it's great to recline and he drinks his own bottle, have him at eye level and to roll him around the different rooms.
