Saw the specialist

I saw the specialist yesterday. I am feeling some very mixed feelings about my situation right now. I've been trying since right after I got married, but I knew the 1st 2 months I was off timing wise on both months, so I'll say I'm really only counting starting in May, that's 6 months that I've been really trying.
The Dr. sent me for a battery of blood test (which I got all done today) and of course he wanted to check out my husbands fishies (and he was gracious enough to do it today) Now I have to make an appointment in 2 weeks to find out all of the results. From what he said that he saw yesterday in the pelvic sono was that my ovaries seemed smaller than what the average 27 year old would have. OK I absolutely freaked out over this information. I'm talking tears and mental breakdown I could not sleep last night and ended up staying home today. From what I get, my supply of eggs isn't as abundant as what it should be at this time in my life due to the size of the ovaries.
I seriously don't know what to make of this whole thing. He's already suggested some other pretty invasive tests which I don't think I am really up for it. I don't know if I am prematurely freaking out, or what. I have a few friends who had fertility issues and all of them ended up becoming pregant, I know science is very good out there and there are great chances out there for people who have some fertility issues. On another note I know that I am stressing myself with this whole issue, Myself and DH have some work related problems right now which aren't helping with stress either. Well anyway, I think I'm going to not come around the board for a while, I'm really going to try and get my head together and be as non chalant about this issue as possible, maybe it will take some pressure off. In the mean time I'll wait for these results, go back to the Dr. and find out some more answers.
Thanks for all your listening ears (or should I say eyes) I'll come back in due time to see how everyone else is doing.
Keep your hopes alive and try not to stress too much (ha I have to take my own advice) lol I'll ttu all soon
XOXOXO
Kitty

Re: Saw the specialist

First off I want to say Chat Icon I know this is very tough for you but I think you are on the right track to finding out answers. I would not get too upset about what the Dr said yesterday since you have to get the results from your bloodwork & from DH's test. In due time, you will have some great news for all of us & you will be a mommy. For some, the road is longer & winding but well worth it in the end.

I commend you on stepping away from the boards to get your thoughts together. I have not been on here much either (TTC) bc I just don't want to stress myself out bc I know first hand that I did last month & it threw my cycles off. You will be missed but it is completely understood!

Wishing you nothing but luck & hopefully a speedy BFP! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Saw the specialist

Chat Icon Try not to worry. Hopefully being off the boards will destress you enough to relax and maybe a BFP is around the corner.
Wait to see what the test results say. Good Luck with everything!
