BF & Flu Shot
Im planning on getting the flu shot this week and am ebf..... Im going to call the ped. to be sure it is okay... but has anyone else gotten it while BF'ing?

This is a really good question. I signed up assuming that if I could get it while pregnant then it would be okay when BF - but now I am not so sure.

I called my ped. and they said it was okay... they actually recommend it because if the baby is less than 6 mts. old they have risks of complications from the flu....

I got it already. My ped stressed that it was important that both DH and I get it since DD is under 6 months. I EBF and I specifically asked him about that and he indicated that it was perfectly safe to get.

Yes, I've gotten it both while breastfeeding and while pregnant. Its safe.
