Wierd (and kinda gross) question for dog owners...
How many times a day does your dog poop?
Cooper used to poop up to 5 times a day, but now that we have his stomach issues under control with meds, he's only pooping 2 times a day... What's normal???

My dog usually poops 2 times a day. Some days she'll only go once.

 Misty poops like five times a day. She goes once or twice in the morning and at least twice at night.

How did you get your dog started with meds? Is it not normal for them to have bm's frequently during the day?

Molly used to poop much more when she was younger. She is 1 1/2 now and she poops every night when we take her for her walk. Thank god no more pooping on the wee wee pads....that makes me so happy!

I don't know if it's normal or not to go that frequently... Cooper is on the meds because he has a gastro intestinal reflux disease. Since we've had him he's had stomach issues and we've tried everything, not fully knowing what the problem was.. finally we took him to get an edescope ( ) and foudn out that that was what he had and he was started on these meds... since then, he's been pooping less frequently.

awe! Thanks for responding. I will let the doc know my concerns next week when they get their shots. It didn't seem too normal to me that they pooped so much, but since they both did it (and they're from two different sets of parents), I just thought it was a "yorkie thing".

Zoey usually poops twice a day, but occaisonally it's 1X and sometimes it's even 3X.

4x, sometimes 5 a day.
What led you to think that Cooper had a GID besides the endoscope? Did he vomit his kibble? Or vomit after running around?
I have a BT terrier too and vomiting is a problem. It's common with BT's so the vet isn't too concerned, I feed him with golf balls to slow him down and so that he'll suck in less air and that's helped some, but he'll still occasionally vomit.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
