question - off bcp
For the ladies who got off bcp how long did it take to regulate? I have always been regular 28 days and when i came off the bcp i was on 28 days for 2 months but now it came early :( Is this usual?

I started BCP b/c I was irregular. I've been off for 4 cycles and still not regular.

Came off in Jan had a normal cycle then and again in Feb. Haven't gotten  since then.

I went off last year and I was having your standard 28 day cycles on BCP. They vary now and can be anywhere from 23 days to 28 days. They have pretty much regulated now to about 25 days.

I was on BCP for 10+ years. I went off in August and have had normal 28 day cycles since.
Everybody's body is different though. It may take a couple of months to be regular or you may be regular right away.

How long are you waiting until you are concerned? I am stressing out about it. I think this is making it worse!

I was on BCP for 7 years. When I came off I didn't get AF for over 40 days. Then I had rather long cycles and eventually an anovulatory cycle that lasted from Oct- Jan. Since then they have regulated nicely. So I would say it took about 8 months to sorta calm down and a year before I would say I was regular!!

I was really stressing over it and it was really making me upset because I wanted to start charting and using OPKs but I didn't know what day to start so I called the gyn.
I went to see my gyn two weeks ago, she wasn't to concern yet because it wasn't such a long time since my last . but she did have me go for some blood work and scheduled a sono. I had the blood work and I am waiting for her to call for the sono appointment. I go next monday for the results of my blood work.
She did tell me that sometimes it can take up to 6 months and longer for some women's cycles to get back to normal after being on the pill.
I would call your gyn and talk to them about it.
