Re: Where did you buy your wooden (or wooden-looking) blinds for cheap?

We just got some at Blinds to Go. They have wood, and two price levels of faux wood. We chose white, so I think if you are doing a light color, it kinda doesn't matter. We got the cheapest ones for the bathroom (made of vinyl and prob better for bathrooms anyway), and then the best non-wood ones for DD's room and guest room (potential future DC room).

They are being installed today, assuming the guy doesn't cancel-- so I will let you know how they come out!

We did have dark wood in our apt, and we got those from Smith & Noble. They also always offer some kind of incentive-- like, buy 3 get one free, etc.

Lowe's. SUPER cheap. Maybe like $12 each? We got white ones that look like like real wood. You'd never know the difference.

Home Depot. We have 3 very narrow windows in our dining room, and for the 3 sets that were bought off the shelf, I think it was like $80-100.

I purchased 2 of my bedroom faiux blinds at either Lowes or HD. The thrid window (different size than other 2) I purchased at Walmart. I actually prefer the Walmart blinds. They have a faux wood texture unlike the ones from Lowes and HD.

Blinds to Go, and I got two sets of faux wood for my very wide windows.
Real wood would be very heavy to raise and lower.

Can't tell that they are faux unless you stand right in front of them.

HD - we recently replaced all our windows with the white wide faux wooden blinds they sell there. They have texture like 'real' wood and are very reasonable!

Lowes but they were levelor (i think) and they sucked when it came to raising them up (always lifted unevenly)....so i would avoid those like the plague...

Whatever you decide on check the reviews...

Same - I think ours are Lowes. We got the cordless ones - about $50-$60 / window
