My Bedroom furniture FINALLY came! Want to help me accessorize??
After 4 months of being on back-order, it finally came yesterday! I love it except that I feel like I need a step stool to get into bed!!
Need your help accessorizing - any ideas?
I am thinking about 2 or 3 B&W prints above the bed and 2 shelf ledges above the nightstand on the left.
Before we hung the mirrror
After the mirror - at first I was thinking about getting candle sconces to put on each side of the mirror, but now I think it may be better the way it is, thoughts?
What about stuff on the dresser? I don't want to junk it up, but I thought about getting a jewelry box or decorative jars - maybe that silver mercury stuff that's everywhere?
DH's nighstand - excuse the clutter. The lamp will most likely go here.
My nightstand:
I have stuff to put in the lamp, I just haven't done it yet!
This is an older pic, but I was thinking about putting a collection of frames on the wall to the right of where the window is.
Last pic - I thought it was cool!

I love the set. I agree with your thoughts on the silver mercury stuff. I would get lamps for the bedside tables. Also a painting above the headboard would be nice. As for the dresser I would do a nice jewlery box a framed photo and 3 silver mercury things of varying heights so 5 in total on the dresser.

The furniture is gorgeous, especially the bed! I'm actually not sure i'd put anything over the bed on that wall. I would instead do one or two large prints on the other wall (next to the window). If you really want to put something over the bed, i'd go with two small framed prints or one wide rectangle print in a espresso frame. Then i'd do shelving on the other wall (next to the window).

Christine....love it! Gorgeous! Your room is really coming together. I'm having the same problem with my BR. It is set up the same way with the windows and it drives me nuts. Look at my Decorating Ideas Album I have some pics in there that I drew up. Maybe that will give you another idea or thought. Good Luck. Love all your ideas for the decorating. Have fun!

I think the mercury glass would look beautiful!!!
It's about $35 for one candleholder in dept stores (Martha Stewart collection in Macys) but the exact same thing can be found in Big Lots for about $8.

Thanks for the suggestions (and the compliments!). The best part is that I got everything 40% off!! I have a friend who works at PB!
I'll have to play around. I'm sure I'll have more questions!
And I'll have to look up where Big Lots is. I'd much rather spend $8 then $35!!

It's beautiful!!! I agree about putting something over the board. If you really want to put something there, keep it small.
As for having a friend who works at PB......you're a lucky girl!

I think the mercury glass idea is great - some silver accents would look wonderful in the room. You guys did a great job!
(not to be a total stalker, but more than once I went on the Home board hoping that your furniture had come in and you were posting pics - does that make me scary - I swear, I'm normal!!!!)

Very pretty! It's like looking at my bedroom with different furniture and paint - the layout looks exact.
I would love to see a 3rd color pulled into the room. Are you doint that? Maybe a color from the rug? That would be a huge factor in the accessorizing.
LOL @ the night stand pics. They look like they need "HIS" and "HERS" signs over them. If he's like my DH, most of those papers aren't even ones he needs anymore.
