Ladies- I am starving during the day - what foods are filling you up?

I get to work at 7:15 and don't eat lunch until 12:25 or so - so it's a long morning. I eat breakfast at my desk - small 4 oz Activia yogurt. I usually end up eating a packet of instant oatmeal a little later and then always end up with a granola bar or fruit - whatever I have.
I am seriously starving all morning long. A lot of times I can't finish lunch so I'm ok in the afternoon - but am seriously ravenous all morning long! What is filling you up? I guess I should incorporate more protein - cheese, hardboiled egg, etc

i'd love to know the same thing. Every morning at work I like run around looking for food lol it's really gross how hungry I am.

So far I had a decent size fruit salad and now im eating a sprinkle cookie! I'm stilllllllllllll hungry. Grrr

search my posts and you'll see i had the same issues!

your breakfast is not enough!

the 2 things that have worked for me for breakfast are:

1) low-sugar apples & cinnamon oatmeal... and a piece of toast with a sliced hardboiled egg.

or

2) a big bowl of fiber-one cereal with a sliced banana... with soy milk.

those 2 fill me up! i eat those at 6:30ish and i'm good until at least 9!

--

so usually at 9 or 9:30 i'll have a fiber one bar (oats and chocolate!)

then at 11 i have an apple.

around 12:30 i have lunch - PBJ and pretzels with hummus...

then 2:30ish I have a few cookies

If I am having a morning were I just can't get full I will have an english muffin and this seems to help after everything else! HTH

add fruit for bulk to fill you up when you eat
protein will keep you satiated (add cheese, eggs, piece of left over chicken etc)
keep sugar to a min in the morning

Maybe you should eat more in the morning. Along with your yogurt, maybe have some hardboiled egg whites (only 50 calories for 3!!) and a little natural peanut butter on a multigrain English muffin or toast. That will hold you off longer than just the yogurt. Plus yogurt usually has a lot of sugar so it doesn't stay in your system that long.

I also like nuts/trail mix or 2% cheese on wheat bread. Apples and bananas are filling as well.

Before I leave for work, I will have eggs, or cereal...cheerios w/ bananna

Mid morning snack around 11 am- apples and cheese or yogurt and granola bar, etc.

that is usually enough to keep me satisfied until lunch which would be 1-2pm.

Thanks for the suggestions, ladies. I realize that I'm packing a lot of snacky type things, but nothing really of substance, which is why I'm so hungry. I definitely need to start bulking up the morning meal - even if it's having leftovers from dinner!

I think you should be eating a little more for breakfast to start with. I find an apple w/ string cheese is a good boost for me. Also, fiber one bars help me make it to the next meal.

i eat an english muffin with peanut butter 2 hours later a granola bar 2 hours later crackers and cheese(the sandwich ones) then i eat lunch then a 100 calorie snack then some carrots and then dinner and a night snack is some watermelon..I am constantly hungry too!

You my dear are not eating enough! Keep the yogurt, but add a hard boiled egg and string cheese. Trail mix is good, so is fruit. I have a bagel with cc and an apple.
