Can you tell me a little about the Oakdale area
I found a place for rent off of Montauk Blvd at Oakdale Bohemia Rd and I was just wondering how that area is?

It's a nice area over there. My DH grew up there, I was one town over and it's nice and quiet.

I think you mean Montauk Hwy & oakdale bohemia road, if you do I lived vey close to there for about 10 years. The area is very safe, clean & really easy for getting places with Sunrise Hwy so close by. The shopping is much better now. When I lived there the large shopping center on Montauk Hwy was almost all vacant.

it's very close to where you live now - go take a drive around the neighbrohoods. I love Oakdale! it seems like a great place to live. I would not mind buying a house there at all.

I grew up in the same district. Oakdale is a very nice area. The houses in the area are gorgeous. And there are lots og restaurants and places to go.
I grew up in Ronkonkoma which is in the district and has been called a "commuter town" The only thing I don't like is the fact that the housing prices are higher in oakdale as well as the taxes are higher for the same SD. Otherwise it's a great area.

My dh grew up in Oakdale, he actually lived on Oakdale/Bohemia Rd. when I met him.
It's a very nice town.

My aunt lives there - right near Dowling. She's on the canal and the houses are sooo nice.
