Depending on what test you took it is possible it wasn't detected at 12dpo. I always got accurate results 12dpo but I used early detection tests.
Regardless of the test you use it should be accurate 16dpo so maybe test one more time tomorrow?
On the other hand a MC really can screw with the length of your cycle.

I got a negative HPT at 12dpo and then a positive at 14dpo. I was also tracking using an ovulation kit. I think I ended up just ovulating a little later than I thought OR it just took the bean a little longer to implant. Good luck!!!
