Do you like frozen BM will make the trip to FL?

Ryan isn't fully transitioned to milk. My plan was to bring fresh milk that I pump in containers for the few days we're in FL, but I didn't get to pump enough - so I only have about 8 oz fresh.
do you think if I put a couple of frozen bags in a cool pack with those similac ice bags it'll make it to FL in my luggage??

I would try to carry that on...they screen the bags now and they may see the liquid and take it out

I'll try that - since technically you're allowed to carry it if you declare it - but still not sure if I'll have defrosted milk by the time I get down there.

I don't see why not. When we went to FL, i put the formula in bottles, in our cool pack with a zip loc of tons of ice around it. Then when we were on the flight, we asked for more ice, etc.

You might even be able to ask one of the flight attendants if they'll store it for you in their freezer. Maybe. Probably not Chat Icon, but worth a shot to ask. Chat Icon

You can bring it on the plane. I travel with work and breastfed for 6 months. I would pump and bring all of the milk back through security. It is no problem whatsoever. Just declare it before it goes through the x-ray machine.

However, I do not think frozen milk will make it. Once it starts to defrost, you cannot re-freeze it and it will only be good for 48 hours.

I know fresh will last - but I don't have much fresh to bring.

Do you make enough milk for each feeding? Why do you need to bring extra? I travelled with my DD twice while B/F and brought one bottle of pumped milk for the plane. Then I just fed her the rest of the time. Or, pumped and then immediately gave her that bottle. And two of the nights I pumped when I woke up feeling full so that gave me a little wiggle room the next day.

No, at this point I don't. I'm slowly weaning and transitioning to milk (he's a year) so I only need to bring some to have for cereal and to mix with whole milk for bottles when we're out and about. My supply has dipped a lot - so I don't like to depend soley on nursing to feed him.
