Probiotic

Can you tell me what Probiotic you take?

I was using Digestive Advantage for Lactose Intolerance for close to 20 years and they changed the formula! It no longer works for Lactose Int. (At least not for me) so I've been taking Lactaid (Which is hot or miss)

I know there are better Probiotics out there, so now that I won't be using it for Lactose anymore, I'd like to find one that is known to be better for you. I did a quick google search and there are A LOT out there. I did however read that if you take one that has Lactobacillus Acidophilus DDS-1 it can help with people who are Lactose Intolerant.

Re: Probiotic

i take a brand recommended from my naturopath. Genestra brands. I use HMF forte

HMF FORTE Amazon

thats usually the best price on it too. I take 1 every morning on an empty stomach. almost acts like an acid reducer that way.

Re: Probiotic

So after a ton of research, I just ordered Nordic Naturals Probiotic Comfort - it also contains prebiotics. I've taken other supplements from this company before, so I liked that I have heard of them

I looked up the suggestions here but none had the actual wording of Lactobacillus Acidophilus DDS-1. That DDS-1 is what i am looking for in particular. I even called a few known name brands and none of them can say in the Lacto Acid was in fact DDS-1 because they aren't given the strains, just that some form of it is in there! Supposedly that specific strain has shown to up the natural lactase in people who are lactose intolerant.

Here's to hoping it helps.

I was taking Digestive Advantage Lactose Intolerance formula for YEARS and it was great. They changed the formula like 6 months ago and it doesn't do anything. Like not even a little bit. I'm using lactaid like it's water lol and that doesn't always work either.

Link in case anyone is interested

Culturelle Daily Probiotic is also good. Each capsule has the probiotic equivalent of 10 cups of yogurt.

The ones that I bought are, yes. I couldn’t believe how many had lactose in them! I’ve been on them almost 1 full month. I don’t see a difference in much but I guess I’ll see more come germie season lol
