Amazon Weirdness
Admittedly, I order from Amazon a lot. So when two packages came in the mail for me over the weekend, DH didn't blink an eye. But I swear I didn't order these things! A safety can opener and 500mg magnesium pills.  They don't come up on my past orders and I looked at my bank statement and I don't see any charges. But it came to my house to my name! So weird. I tried to contact Amazon and they said a friend must have sent them to me as gifts. Ummm okay, that sounds like fake news but whatever. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone want a giant bottle of magnesium pills?! 
ETA: There's no packaging slip or anything either. So I have no order number or tracking number or anything.

ironically I don’t or I guess didn’t own a can opener! I always got those pop top cans! Now I can go wild and buy whatever cans I want!

I saw a snippet once about it on the news. They explained the whole process, but from what I remember they said it's new sellers that need reviews (or if they are selling a new item that has no reviews yet). They have someone make a fake account and use gift cards to send items to random people that way they can leave positive reviews that are marked with "verified purchase".

Interesting!!! I wonder if that's the case here. The magnesium pills have 280 reviews.. but I can't find the can opener. It's a weird no name brand. Oh well! Free can opener I guess?

Amazon Weirdness
This happened to me. I got some notebooks made from cork, a sponge/towel and a crappy veggie peeler. Inside the box was a card that asked me to review. Wasn't in my order history, I didn't pay for it. I used the notebook and sponge. Nobody ever followed up.

Is it possible someone else ordered and had it sent to your house? I have my brothers and cousins address saved for shipping for gifts. Maybe they inadvertently clicked your address during checkout

We have gotten things from Amazon before with literally no packing slip and no record of any order from us. Every time we've called about a mysterious package they have said to keep it. We ended up with some $100 computer part once that they didn't want back. Crazy!!!

That seems to be what happened. Amazon definitely didn't want this stuff back.
It had NO packing slip, no request for a review, no tracking number... NOTHING!
And I definitely didn't order it and no one else uses my account... maybe a friend would have accidentally clicked my address from past gift orders but again no packing slip.
Well I've claimed the can opener and I guarantee those magnesium pills are going to hang out in my cabinet with DH's other vitamins until they expire and I eventually clean it out and toss them.

Amazon Weirdness
After I had my first child, a smililar thing happened to me. I received an amazon package with no card, no packing slip, no nothing except for a book entitled “Babies and Other Hazards of Sex.” I was so incredibly confused and the book was absolutely hysterical. 2 weeks later I had found out my cousin sent it to me and a card was supposed to be attached but wasn’t enclosed. We all had a good laugh about it
