Advice needed
The other day we were eating dinner and someone was at our door looked like a few papers in this person’s hand. She left and made a right down the other block which has no way out it’s a dead turn. My husband located the car to the other side of the block. today same person came back and was looking for me actually someone said I don’t live here and I don’t know if that was the right thing to do. It was regarding a personal matter. Wonder if it’s just some census stuff and can only talk to me! Weird ans strange at the same time!

How do you know if was regarding a personal matter? Did they say that?
I was thinking: Are you a registered voter with a party that no one else in the household is? (Or are you the unregistered voter and someone else is registered with a party?) Hence,- that is why you were the only one they asked for.
If someone is trying to get on the ballot for a primary, they send people to the homes of registered voters to sign the petition. In my home, 3 are registered with a party, one is not. We have people coming to the door, asking specifically for the 3 of us, but never the other one, since they can't sign.
It's just an idea.

That’s what my babysitter said. I. Guessing she thought she was doing the right thing. I think both me and my husband are different parties. I find it hard to believe it’s some law suit of any kind. I haven’t been involved in anything criminal nothing has anything prior been sent by regular mail. This is beyond bizarre but also nerve wracking at the same time. Hopefully she will return so i can figure this whole thing out!!

Honestly I don’t think it’s anything to get worried about at all. If they come back when you’re not home just have the sitter ask what it’s about.

This is what I thought it was as well. Happens at my house frequently. DH and I are registered for different parties so they ask for one or the other depending on the party.

People have come for me to sign a petition and also endorse them for a political campaign or something. They already knew my name and asked for me and my husband by name.

I don't answer the door at all. Ever. unless I am expecting you don't even bother. There is nothing that anyone can have to say or offer that I'm interested in hearing.

Because that is what CPS does. They keep coming back till they find you and can't talk to anyone but the person because of confidentiality and they give ypu paperwork. Just sayin, no need to get excited. I also do not.answer the door for anyone...
