Is Fios or optimum supposed to be better than the other?
I got similar prices a few weeks ago. I want to leave Direct TV desperately. If they mistakenly bill us for something, they will not take it off bill. It has become terrible since the AT&T takeover. Is optimum or FIOS supposed to be better?

Is Fios or optimum supposed to be better than the other?
I prefer FIOS over Optimum. Always had a problem with the picture becoming pixilated with Optimum and definitely had more outages with Optimum than with FIOS

I know someone who has Altice (apparently Optimum will all be Altice one day since they already own about 75% of the company) and she does not like it at all. Has problem after problem.

Yup. I will say I have Optimum for 3 years now and I have had no problems with it.

Turns out my Direct TV for tv and Optimum for internet and phone come out cheaper than all of them. I have to make the switch somehow though, as I am having billing problems with Direct TV. Last week FIOS price was so much more than quoted a month ago. Plus they would not throw in the free install. We already have optimum phone and internet so maybe that is the best way to go

i had optimum in NJ.
i now have Fios and it's the same crap.

Fios used to be cheaper and a better deal because they were trying to lure people to them.
Now, they couldn't care less. Same with Optimum- they used to try to get you to stay with them when Fios first came out, but now they are like- yeah, ok see ya.
They all suck and are overpriced to be honest.
