Who do you use for tv internet phone?
I have had Direct TV for 10 years. We got it for football. Through the years they always gave discounts when you called and tried to lower your bill. I have $85 in discounts coming off this month and there is nothing they can do. My bill will go up $$. Football Sunday Ticket was so high and they had no specials to offer so we didn't get that. I had a movie rental on my bill we did not rent and they said because I already have discounts, they cant credit me for a movie we did not rent. This is the first year we are not getting the NFL Sunday package so we are going to move on. We do have Optimum for internet and phone so I don't know if I would qualify for deals as a new customer.

Similar to what we did but different companies. Can I ask how much just phone and internet is with FIOS? I just got off the phone with Optimum and my phone and cable are going up another $10.

We actually have the triple plan with Fios. It was cheaper getting the 3 pack and not using the TV, instead of getting just Internet and phone.
It's $140 for the plan, with 100mbps internet speed, and the absolute lowest TV plan.
It may not be the cheapest way of going, but we've loved Dish Network for about 20 years now, and we have no plans on leaving them, even if it means we technically have 2 TV services.

I hear you. We pretty much did the same with Direct tv and Optimum. Always loved Direct tv but its changed, I think since the AT&T takeover. We will either switch to Fios or Optimum. Its probably cheaper with Fios since we will be a new customer and Optimum I dont get the new customer deal but everything is already hooked up except TV.

Since I already have Optimum for phone and internet, probably FIOS is the best deal being new customer. Are they going to have to put holes in my house to hook this all up or they can go off what I have now from Optimum and Direct TV? I'm clueless. Just wondering how involving it is to connect a new customer. I had Verizon many years ago for phone but nothing else.

I have Optimum for all 3 but am thinking about switching to FIOS.
My Optimum bill is ridiculous! I tried to cancel HBO/Showtime and they told me if I do that then I will be coming off of the promotion and my bill will go up! CROOKS!
The only reason I have not switched yet is because I am a baby and don't want my channel line-up to change.

We cut the cord and only have Optimum for Internet ($65) - we have PS Vue for TV, Netflix and Hulu.

Who do you use?
I’m not going to be of very much help to you as I don’t live in the US. I use T-mobile/Telekom.
One thing I have noticed is that T-mobile is up and coming in the US. It doesn’t hurt to ask about their plans and lock down a cheap rate now.

I just got a quote from them too and also need sports channels. The quote from them is the same amount as what I currently pay with Optimum.

Wow! I thought it would be a lot less being new customer. When I add tax to the price I was given, its pretty much what I pay for Direct TV for TV and Optimum for internet and phone. Only problem is my discounts are falling off Direct TV this month and it will be more. Verizon also wanted my Social Security number to verify who I am and do credit check. I didn't feel comfortable doing that and ended the call. I don't know. I guess when you first see the prices, they look great but when you add the boxes and sport packages, it comes out similar to other places.

I have optimum for internet.
We do not have a home phone. We use our cell phones and have them hooked up to a phone via bluetooth so they ring in the house
We have a firestick with Kodi on it, Netflix and SlingTV for live football.
We did receive a postcard from optimum offering us the triple play for $99/mo (meanwhile they refused to offer us anything when we called to cancel two months ago). However, with all their mandatory extras, taxes and fees, our bill would go up to $140/mo. (we are paying $75 for internet only) On top of that they said we also need to pay a $100 installation fee (there is nothing to install we only cancelled two months ago). I told them to stick it (again).

Verizon, but they always end up raising my rate after the 2 year contract is up. This last contract end, they took away HBO. Still, I have been happy w/ the service.
