What color tights?

Ivory/cream or a slight gold shimmer (but on a thin fabric like a microfiber, not a thick knit with shimmer)

I thought of black too but then thought- is it too severe?

I do have black sparkly tights as well, but I don't think it would look right with the gold shoes. If you have black shoes then yeah, but otherwise, ivory/white.

I would absolutely do light knit ivory tights with this. I agree that gold tights is too much. I like the dress a lot btw!
