Magic erasers-

Do you guys use these to clean all the time or just when it's a last resort?

Ex I only use them when my crazy two year old draws all over the walls in sharpie markers but I was talking to someone who uses them as if they're a sponge- on everything from wood cabinets to appliances (all kinds- black white stainless) to granite to bathtubs, so I was curious to know what do most people do?

Last resort. I don't love how they can remove the finish on things, but when needed, they are fantastic.

Last resort here, too...while they work great on crayons, etc. I don't know that I would want that on eating/cooking surfaces, etc.

SO's mother is elderly and has mental, memory issues. she also has movement/balance issues. she tends to "coast" on walls, like little kids when they're learning to walk.

when i can't clean those areas of the walls with "regular" cleaner, then i bring out the magic eraser.

They took the paint right off my wall. I hate them.
I only use to scrub my tub because it's that horrible tub fitter and very hard to get clean

The person that I was talking to was a lady who has a cleaning service. I told her I don't use magic eraser cuz I feel like if they can clean up a crime scene they can't be all that good for you. Plus they don't disinfect,right?

Anyway. Glad I'm not the only one who only uses them when absolutely necessary

I use them the walls as needed. I have also used them onreally tough marks on other things as a last resort.

I use them for my tub and shower, and when I have a stain in the carpet

There are no harsh chemicals in magic erasers. They are just made from melamine foam.

I really only use them on my walls or other hard-to-clean items. They've never ruined anything of ours, but I just tend to go for a regular sponge first.
