Long Beach Hotel
Has anyone stayed there? I heard they re did it.
In my never-ending quest to find a hotel for a one night stay in a beachy location, I found this hotel.. But it has me nervous that they allow a 1 night stay in the dead of the summer... every where else is 2 or 3 night minimum....
Thanks!

OMG! Those pictures
Whenever someone asks about a hotel or I am interested in a hotel, I check Trip Advisor for that reason! Sometimes when I'm bored I tool around on it and get a kick out of some of the dumps out there!

There's the Allegria in Long Beach. It's a bit nicer. Not sure if they a 2 night minimum though.

Re: Long Beach Hotel
I stayed there one night about 2 years ago. We stayed over the winter so it was really cheap and we just needed a place to crash after a party.
We were completely expecting a beach motel, which is fine, but this was worse than that. It used to be a nursing home, and while they definitely did some major renovations, it just wasn't enough. For example, our bathroom had new paint, tile, but the sink and tub weren't replaced.
I know that renovations can happen in stages so it's possible that they have since made more changes, but I was so creeped out overall I wouldn't stay there again.

I want to know who is paying that to stay in Long Beach. It's not Bora Bora is right- or even NYC- or the Ritz or Four Seasons for that matter. Please. They can go shove it. What do you get for that? 3 meals, open bar and a massage?

Re: Long Beach Hotel
Agreed. Probably why they are bankrupt lol. OP Try Air BnB. A lot of people in LB do summer rentals.

Re: Long Beach Hotel
I live in LB and would not go near LB hotel if they paid me. Allegria is very nice and has new management as of this year so no financial issues anymore but it can be pricey in the summer. I have a lot of friends who like to stay there and love it. They have a ton of weddings in the summer so that's usually why they fill so fast.
