Explosion at Ariana Grande concert in UK
I remember I was about 8 or 9 at my first concert. Went with a friend, my sister and her friend. My mom was the chaperone and she coordinated with the other parents. I can't even imagine this happening.
The world has turned into such a scary place. It's terrifying for my children. School. Movies. Malls. Airports. Restaurants. Concerts. Literally everywhere.

I was thinking about ariana Grande, shes only 23 and the enormous guilt(although not her fault in the slightest) she will now have to live with this. Its awful. and children...my heart breaks for them.

Me too. When we go to the movies, my first thought after sitting down is what if some madman comes in and starts shooting the place up. This is my first thought...at the movies...with my daughter...
Sick, sick world and my heart breaks for all families involved.

The missing 8 year old has been confirmed as one of the victims who perished. There are no words.

Re: Explosion at Ariana Grande concert in UK
Is it sad that everywhere I go, I examine where the exits are? I still have anxiety from 9/11 and being trapped in a building being told not to leave and knowing planes were going into buildings. That fear never quite leaves you and now I'm older with children, I can't help but be scared. I know we all say, don't live in fear, don't let the terrorists win but that survival mode never quite goes away.

I do the same thing. Movies. Mall. I still do those things so it's not letting the terrorists win per se, but it does affect my enjoyment of them when I'm anxious.

We literally just had a drill at work and the guy said it is scary but everyone needs to do this everywhere they go.
This news broke on the radio last night when I was driving with my kids. They said they are scared to go to their first concert this summer now. I was trying to figure out a way to tell them it could happen anywhere at any time without scaring the daylights out of them
This whole thing breaks my heart.
